Mindfulness for the Holidays

Some of you might recognise this from class, one of my favourite breathing meditations. Hope it helps you through the holidays as much as it will help me!
Sit comfortably in a quiet room, eyes closed. Palms of the hands facing up, resting on your thighs or knees. Middle finger, fore finger and thumb pressed together (this is an energy seal). Repeat this mantra as you inhale and exhale:
Breathing in, I know I am breathing in.
Breathing out, I know I am breathing out
Breathing in, I see myself as a flower.
Breathing out, I feel fresh.
Breathing in, I see myself as a mountain
Breathing out, I feel solid.
Breathing in, I see myself as still water
Breathing out, I reflect things as they truly are
Breathing in, I see myself as space
Breathing out, I feel free.
